Photograph mentioned on the Welcome page of the November 2017 Spotlight - A Celebration in Seend 1946:
The photograph was sent to Spotlight by Roger Urch of Weston Super Mare. Taken at the end of WW2 it was a celebration and thanks to all people from Seend who were in the services during that war. Roger identifies several members of the Abbott family, from Little Acre in Row Lane. The lady sitting front row far left is Verna Abbott, a WREN, who later married Royal Marine Ebby Urch. Standing far left is her father, Will Abbott of t...he Home Guard. Back row standing four in from right is Bert Moore, adopted by Will and Gladys Abbott. Next left is the head of Cecil Abbott, who made the cross of wood from SS Great Britain in Seend Church on the right as you walk to the choir stalls. The youngest of the Abbott family, Jim, born in 1929, probably played the drums seen in the background.
Can anyone identify anybody else?
